What are the divers responsibilities?
The divers responsibility is their flights to Belize and their transport to Dangriga. Participants can book an internal flight from BZE to Dangriga or book a transfer by road. Participants must be in Dangriga prior to 3pm on their transfer day to Tobacco Caye. The diver is also responsible for dive insurance, our top recommendation is DAN. Please note that all participants should be at least open water certified and are a confident scuba diver.

‘It was an absolute pleasure and honor to be part of the 2023 lionfish expedition at TCMS. From start to finish, the four days were amazing. Everything was so well organized and planned and communicated. Tobacco Caye is such a very special place, and to have the opportunity to stay at Tobacco Caye Paradise and participate in two amazing dives per day doing good work for the Belize Barrier Reef was incredible. I cannot more highly recommend taking part in this amazing opportunity. I will certainly be doing it again.’ – Holly, August Lionfish Expedition 2023.
